Splore offers a variety of Winter Activities throughout
the months of December, January, February and March. There's
something for everyone, so bundle up, strap on your skies
or snowshoes, and have a great time playing in the Greatest
Snow on Earth - Utah's Winter Wonderland!

Nordic Skiing
/
Snowshoeing Day Trips
Splore provides the resources for you to access
Nordic skiing and snowshoeing along the Wasatch
Front and Uinta mountains. Through our collaborative
relationships with other local organizations, we
are able to get you out on the snow! |

Overnight Trips
Splore offers several overnight ski trips during
the winter season. Gourmet meals are included in
all overnight trips. Lodging is provided in either
cabins located near the Solitude Nordic Center in
Big Cottonwood Canyon or in yurts located in the
Uinta Mountains. |
A Yurt is a circular domed dwelling made of a wooden frame
covered with canvas. The interior has a wood burning stove
for warmth, and a propane fueled kitchen for cooking.
Bunkbeds provide sleeping for 12 - 16 people.
Dog Sledding
Explore the backcountry in Jackson, Wyoming on a unique
and exciting dog-sledding trip. Trips are open to persons
with physical or cognitive disabilities and are adapted
to the needs of each participant. You'll experience the
ride of your life enjoying breathtaking scenery as you
glide through fresh powder behind a powerful dog team.
Dog Sledding trips are generally offered only once a year
or by special arrangement. Care providers can be arranged
for participants as needed. |

is available for all of our winter activities, and
may also be rented from Splore. |

SPLORE is a Utah based non-profit organization that specializes in providing life-changing outdoor recreation experiences to children and adults with disabilities and special needs. SPLORE ran its first accessible rafting program during the summer of 1977 and for more than 30 years, has served over 30,000 individuals with disabilities as well as their family members, friends & care providers.
