"As a person with a physical disability for 25 years, I'm so grateful to Splore for providing such a variety of accessible and affordable activities that I can participate in. I love getting out into the wilderness as much as possible, experiencing wild rivers, majestic mountains, beautiful scenery, and spending quality time with other like-minded participants, volunteers, and Splore staff who truly enjoy sharing their expertise and love of the outdoors with others who are less mentally or physically capable. What People Are Saying About Us

Families Photo
"The whole experience was one of the greatest I've had since my injury two years ago. My mom is so overwhelmed every time we go." - Splore Participant

Splore welcomes and encourages friends of disabled clients to participate on all of our activities and multi-day trips. These unique outdoor recreation and education experiences strengthen friendships and provide a fun recreational experience for groups of friends. Friends pay the same rate for trips as the disabled participant, and friends may also attend activities as care-providers.

Splore works with various youth groups within the Salt Lake community!

Splore reaches thousands of school children and introduces them to the outdoors - canoeing, horseback riding, hiking, climbing, dutch oven cooking, cross-country skiing/snow shoeing, indoor/outdoor rock-climbing, cooperative games, teambuilding initiatives, urban adventures, and other recreation activities.

"Splore does a really good job of making sure they find the right people to help with the trips. The guides are very knowledgeable and very organized. They are always positive and helpful." - Lesa Lake-Allen, Youth Support Services

Splore programs provide youth the opportunity to participate in adventurous recreation and education activities that also provide the opportunity to interact with children with and without disabilities, and the ability to learn new skills and obtain increased self-confidence and self-esteem.

"Some of the best experiences of my life have been as a volunteer for Splore. What could be better than enjoying great outdoor activities like rafting, canoeing, climbing, and skiing while assisting others with disabilities in accessing the tremendous benefits and contentment of Utah's magnificent outdoor venues!"
- Splore volunteer
