Financial Aid Information

Splore’s Financial Aid Goals:

  1. To remove financial barriers for those who need assistance affording our adventures and experiencing the outdoors.
  2. To prioritize people with disabilities
  3. To help as many people as possible to experience the outdoors for the first time.

One of our goals is to serve anyone wishing to participate on a trip regardless of their financial situation. To that end, we receive donations and grants each year for the specific purpose of providing financial aid for participants who demonstrate a need. Through generous donors and foundations, we are able to provide over $100,000 in financial aid each year. Please apply as an individual or as a group. If you have any questions, please contact us at 801-484-4128.

Financial aid is granted based upon the following factors:

  • Availability of funds
  • Assistance amount being requested
  • Financial need (based upon the current federal poverty guideline schedule)

Click here to complete and submit our  Agency Financial Aid Application  or  Individual/Family Financial Aid Application.

The financial aid request will be be reviewed by our Financial Aid Committee:

  • Application is received and reviewed by Splore to determine client eligibility
  • Splore determines amount of financial aid we can award based on availability of funds, amount requested, and financial qualifications (federal poverty guidelines).
  • Splore notifies the applicant of amount approved and books their trip(s)

After the trip:

We ask those who receive financial aid to send in quotes, photos documenting their trip, and testimonials from the trip. This information is important for our grant program, and is shared with our donors so that they can directly see the impact of their donations. Each group or individual requesting financial aid  will need to agree to provide this information to Splore after their trip in order to receive consideration of future financial aid requests.
