What
does Splore offer Parents/Guardians?
Splore offers fun, relaxing and meaningful experiences
for the parents, families and friends of people with disabilities.
Participating in a Splore activity with your child provides
a unique form of quality family time, creating memories
that strengthen family relationships and provides a special
form of parental involvement. Parents are also given the
chance to build a natural support group of other families
to learn new ideas, share stories and make new friends,
plus many other unique & lasting benefits. |
|
Accommodations for Families:
- Additional care provider support
- Activities that are tailored to
the needs of your family
- Inclusive trips with other non-disabled
participants and/or customized trips with other participants
with similar disabilities.
Splore also welcomes and encourages friends of disabled clients to participate on all of our activities and multi-day trips. The unique outdoor experiences strengthen friendships and provide a fun recreational experience for groups of friends. Friends pay the same rate for trips as the disabled participant, and friends may also attend activities as care-providers. |

"The whole experience
was one of the greatest I've had since my injury two years
ago. My mom is so overwhelmed every time we go." - Splore
