The Cause: SPLORE, a Salt Lake City non-profit that provides outdoor
activities for children and adults with disabilities and specific needs. See the web site at www.sarahsride.net learn more!
The Goal: To raise $20,000 in support of participant scholarships for SPLORE climbing, canoeing, rafting, and winter nordic activities.
The Ride: Sarah will be riding across America from Seattle, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts from June to August of 2006 to promote SPLORE and its programs.
Where your money goes: Any donation you make will go directly into the SPLORE scholarship fund. The average SPLORE scholarship of $50 will provide a one day experience for a participant who otherwise would not be able to take part in SPLORE programs. Every dollar you donate will have a direct impact on the lives of children and adults with disabilities. If you enjoy outdoor activities or know of someone who does, you realize what an important resource this is to people who normally do not have an opportunity to participate due to physical, cognitive, psychological, or financial barriers.

About Sarah Grant
Sarah worked as an Occupational Therapist for 10 years, she then came on board with SPLORE as the Program Director
for 2.5 years, and is now working again as an Occupational Therapist.at St.Mark’s hospital in Salt Lake City. Sarah has decided to ride her
bike across the United States on a charity ride to support SPLORE with the goal of raising $20,000.
She has previously participated in other multi-day rides to raise money for various causes but has never pursued a challenge of this magnitude! Please help SPLORE by donating to this very worthwhile fund-raising ride and Sarah will bring recognition to this organization through 13 states and a Canadian Province in the summer of 2006.
As a donor, you will receive updates directly from Sarah about the fund-raising efforts and the ride. Your donation will go directly to SPLORE’s scholarship fund to allow people with disabilities along with their family and friends to pursue and participate in outdoor activities that they would normally not have the opportunity to enjoy.
“Thank you all for your support and interest. The enthusiasm from those of you I spoke with at the MS ride was very encouraging.”
