Volunteer Opportunities
Programs - Help out on one of Splore's many outdoor adventures! You can join us for Nordic skiing, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, canoeing, Rock On!, and other fun activities. Volunteer training is required for all new program volunteers. Training will teach you the skills necessary to feel confident in your role as a volunteer.
River Volunteer/Swamper - River volunteers, also known as swampers, go on river trips and assist the Splore staff with set up of camp, loading and unloading equipment, preparing food, programming, and helping participants with various tasks.
River Guides - If you are a seasoned river guide, or interested in becoming one, you can join us in the summer for trips down the river. Volunteer guide training takes place in the Spring and is mandatory for new volunteer guides.
Special Events - Splore puts on several special events throughout the year, including our annual Harvest Moon Benefit. Your help makes these events run smoothly and successfully.
General Office - Assist in the Splore office with large mailings, data entry, computer maintenance, and other projects as they become available.
