Splore provides the resources for you to experience Nordic skiing along the Wasatch Front and Uinta mountains. Through our collaborative relationships with other local organizations, we are able to get you out on the snow!
Nordic Skiing Program Notes
Splore offers several overnight ski trips during the winter season. Meals are included in all overnight trips. Lodging is provided in either cabins located near the Solitude Nordic Center in Big Cottonwood Canyon or in yurts located in the Uinta Mountains.
A Yurt is a circular domed dwelling made of a wooden frame covered with canvas. The interior has a wood burning stove for warmth, and a propane fueled kitchen for cooking. Bunkbeds provide sleeping for 12 - 16 people.
